Wetumpka Depot Players

Founded in 1980, the Wetumpka Depot Players are an award-winning troupe and one of the most established community theaters in the River Region. Producing four to six shows per year, the group entertains, educates and reaches out to the community by promoting accessible performing arts opportunities for patrons and participants of all ages.

The acting group has continued to give a nod to its beginnings, which include using the town’s historic L&N Depot as its original base. Since then, it has moved into the historic business district across from the Wetumpka Public Library and is often a garden bed for budding youth. In fact, local schools often attend plays annually at the Depot, many around the holidays which utilize local talent for scripts and traditional themes for the participants.

Enjoy a show at 300 South Main Street, and you won’t be disappointed!
